Organizing the RFID Summit Philippines while I was with Golden Aurum System Solutions Inc. was one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences of my career. Held every two years, often at Okada Manila, the summit brought together industry leaders, technology partners, and businesses eager to explore the potential of RFID in transforming operations.
What made this experience truly significant for me was the level of ownership I had over the entire event. From sourcing and coordinating with suppliers, to securing the venue, selecting the right emcee and facilitators, and even writing the event script, I was involved in every detail. It wasn’t just about logistics—it was about creating a seamless and meaningful experience for everyone attending.
One of the more challenging aspects was curating the right audience. Ensuring that the event attracted decision-makers and participants who would truly benefit from RFID solutions required careful planning and strategic outreach. At the same time, I worked on building partnerships and securing sponsors, which played a huge role in managing costs and elevating the overall quality of the summit.
Event day itself was a different kind of challenge. Overseeing the setup, managing timelines, and making sure every segment flowed smoothly required constant attention and quick problem-solving. But seeing everything come together—from the opening remarks to the final sessions—made all the hard work worth it.
Looking back, the RFID Summit Philippines was more than just an event. It was a platform that connected people, ideas, and opportunities. For me personally, it was a hands-on experience in leadership, execution, and resilience. It taught me how to turn a vision into reality, and how to deliver an experience that leaves a lasting impact on both the audience and the organization.
